まず押さえたい背景知識

2022年の終わりごろから、文章を作る生成AIのチャットボットが無料で使えるようになり、世界中に急速に広まりました。
2013年、オックスフォード大学の研究者が、アメリカの雇用の約47パーセントは、10～20年ほどのうちにコンピューターで自動化されうる「危険性の高い」区分に入る、と推計しました。実際に何人が仕事を失うかの予測ではありません。
2024年、国際通貨基金（IMF）は、世界の仕事の約40パーセントがAIの影響を受けると推計しました。先進国ではその割合がさらに高いとしています。
文部科学省は2023年7月に学校向けの生成AIのガイドライン（暫定版）を出し、2024年12月に改訂版（Ver.2.0）を公表しました。
EUのAI法は2024年8月に発効しました。AIを危険の大きさで分けて規制し、一部の使い方を禁止しています。採用や教育などに使う高リスクのAIへのルールは、2027年12月2日から適用される予定です。
日本では2025年5月28日に、AIの研究開発と活用を進めるための「人工知能関連技術の研究開発及び活用の推進に関する法律」（いわゆるAI法）が成立しました。

I think more companies will use AI and robots instead of human workers in the future. I have two reasons. First, Japan does not have enough workers because of its aging society. Restaurants and care facilities are already using robots to carry food and help their staff, so this trend will continue. Second, AI can do some tasks faster and at a lower cost than people. For example, it can answer customer questions day and night without getting tired. For these reasons, I believe that AI and robots will do more jobs in the future.

I agree that the benefits of artificial intelligence outweigh its risks, for two main reasons. First, AI can help solve serious social problems. In Japan, the working-age population is shrinking, and AI systems that draft records or answer routine questions allow nurses and office workers to focus on tasks that require human judgment. Without such tools, many services may become difficult to maintain. Second, AI can improve people's lives in fields such as medicine and education. AI tools that examine medical images can help doctors find signs of disease earlier, and AI tutors can explain difficult points to students at their own pace. Admittedly, AI sometimes makes mistakes and can be misused, but these risks can be reduced through careful checking and sensible rules. Therefore, I believe that we should actively use AI while managing its risks.
