Japanese professional baseball has twelve teams in two leagues, and the season runs from late March to October, ending in a championship series between the two league winners. The first thing visitors notice is the names: teams carry the name of the company that owns them, not just the city, so you get a newspaper, a railway, a retailer and a car maker competing on the same league table.
The second thing is the noise. Each team has an organized cheering section with trumpets and drums, and every player on the roster has his own song, which the entire home section sings while he bats, standing, for the whole at-bat, and then sits when the side changes.
Nobody sings for the away team's batters, and the away fans are seated together in their own block doing the same thing in reverse. Beer is carried through the stands by young staff with kegs on their backs. It is loud, organized, and completely unlike watching baseball anywhere else.
日本の職業野球は二つのリーグに十二球団があり、三月の終わりから十月までが戦いの期間で、最後に両リーグの勝者が日本一を争います。訪れた人がまず気づくのは名前です。球団は都市の名だけでなく、所有する企業の名を背負っているので、新聞社と鉄道会社と小売業と自動車会社が同じ順位表で競うことになります。
次に気づくのは音です。どの球団にもトランペットと太鼓を持つ組織された応援団があり、登録された選手それぞれに固有の応援歌があります。その選手が打席に立つ間じゅう、ホーム側の一角がまるごと立ち上がって歌い、攻守が替われば座ります。

No, and it would be confusing. Seating is divided, the home section cheers only when its own team bats, and the away section does the same. Pick a side, sit in that block, and follow what the people around you are doing.
しません。それをするとかえって場を乱します。席は分かれていて、ホーム側は自分の球団の攻撃のときだけ応援し、ビジター側も同じです。どちらかを選び、その区画に座り、周りの人に合わせてください。

Usually yes, though cans and bottles are often refused and drinks are poured into paper cups at the gate. Many people bring a bento. Inside, staff walk the stands selling beer from kegs on their backs.
たいていできますが、缶や瓶は断られることが多く、入口で紙コップに移されます。弁当を持ち込む人も多くいます。中では売り子が樽を背負って客席を回り、ビールを売っています。

The rules are nearly the same, but games can end in a tie after twelve innings in the regular season, the ball and strike zone differ slightly, and sacrifice bunts and small-ball tactics are used far more than in the American game.
規則はほぼ同じですが、レギュラーシーズンでは十二回で引き分けになることがあり、ボールとストライクゾーンにもわずかな違いがあります。送りバントなど、細かく点を取る戦術がアメリカよりずっと多く使われます。
