A man sells all his things at the market. Now he has a big bag of money.
"I must be home tonight," he says. He gets on his horse and goes.
At noon he stops in a town. A boy looks at the horse. "Sir, a nail is missing from your horse's shoe."
"It does not matter," says the man. "I am in a hurry." And he goes on.
In the afternoon he stops again. The boy says, "Sir, a shoe is missing now! Can I take your horse to the smith?"
"No, no," says the man. "It is not far. I am in a hurry."
He rides on. Soon the horse walks badly. Then it falls down. It hurts its leg, and it cannot walk.
He leaves the horse. He puts the heavy bag on his back. He walks and walks. He gets home very late at night.
"Oh," he says. "All this from one little nail!"
