Two pots float down a river. One is a clay pot. One is a brass pot. The brass pot is hard and strong.
The river moves fast. The brass pot comes near the clay pot. Bump, bump.
"Stop! Stop!" says the clay pot. "Please don't come near me!" "Why?" asks the brass pot. "I am your friend."
"You are hard," says the clay pot. "I am not. One little bump, and I break. Crack! Then I am in pieces. Please stay far away from me!"
So the brass pot floats away. The clay pot floats on, safe and happy.
