It is night. A shepherd puts his sheep in the pen. "In you go, sheep. One, two, three, four..."
夜になりました。羊飼いが、ヒツジたちを囲いの中に入れていました。「さあ、お入り、ヒツジたち。一、二、三、四……」
His dog helps him. "Woof! In you go!" Then the dog sees something. A gray animal is going in, too. It has big teeth. It is a wolf!
羊飼いの犬も手伝っていました。「ワン！ さあ入って！」そのとき、犬は何かに気がつきました。灰色の動物も一緒に入ろうとしているのです。大きなきばがあります。オオカミです！
The shepherd does not see. "Five, six, seven... and you, too," he says. He starts to close the gate.
羊飼いは気づきませんでした。「五、六、七……おまえもだな」と言って、門を閉めようとしました。
"Stop, Master!" says the dog. "Look! That is a wolf! Do you want your sheep to be safe? Then don't put a wolf in with them!"
「待ってください、ご主人さま！」と、犬は叫びました。「見て！ あれはオオカミですよ！ ヒツジたちに無事でいてほしいんでしょう？ それなら、オオカミを一緒に入れてはいけません！」
The shepherd looks. "Oh my!" The wolf runs away. The sheep say, "Baa! Thank you, Dog!"
羊飼いは見ました。「なんてこった！」オオカミは逃げていきました。ヒツジたちは言いました。「メエー！ ありがとう、犬さん！」
