A crab lived by the sea. Every day, he walked on the sand and looked for food in the water. But one day, he looked up at the land.
"Look at that green field," he said. "The grass is soft, and there are pretty flowers. The sea is boring. I want to live there!"
His friends said, "Crabs belong in the sea. The land is not for us." But the crab did not listen. He walked sideways, click, click, click, up the beach and into the green field.
The field was nice. The sun was warm. The crab walked around and looked at the flowers. "This is the life!" he said.
But a hungry fox lived near the field. He saw a strange red thing in the grass. "What is that?" he said. He came closer. "A crab! In my field! What a nice surprise!"
The crab ran for the sea. But the sea was far away, and crabs are slow on land. The fox jumped and caught him.
The crab sighed. "This is my own fault," he said. "My home was the sea. The land was never a place for me." And that was the end of the crab's new life.
