A boy is in a field. He sees a plant. It is a nettle. He touches it softly. Ouch! It hurts!
He runs home to his mother. "Mom! Mom! The nettle hurts me! I only touched it a little!"
"That is why it hurts," says his mother. "Touch it a little, and it hurts. Hold it hard, and it does not hurt."
The next day, the boy sees the nettle again. He is a little scared. But he takes it in his hand. He holds it hard. Squeeze!
Hey! It does not hurt. The boy smiles. "Mom is right!"
