She looks at them for a long time. Then she draws them. She draws every day.

Beatrix grows up. She gets a pet rabbit. His name is Peter.
やがてビアトリクスは大人になり、ペットのウサギを飼いはじめました。名前はピーターです。
One day, a little boy is sick in bed. His name is Noel. He is five years old.
ある日、小さな男の子が病気で寝こんでいました。名前はノエル。まだ5歳の男の子です。
Beatrix writes him a letter. She does not know what to write. So she tells him a story about four little rabbits.
ビアトリクスは、ノエルに手紙を書きました。何を書けばいいのか、わかりません。そこで、4匹の小さなウサギのお話を書いてあげました。
One of the rabbits is Peter. He does not listen to his mother. He goes into a man's garden!
そのウサギの1匹が、ピーターです。ピーターはお母さんの言うことを聞きません。そして、ある男の人の畑に入っていってしまったのです！
Beatrix draws pictures in the letter, too. Noel keeps the letter.
ビアトリクスは、手紙に絵も描きました。ノエルは、その手紙を大事にとっておきました。
Later, the story becomes a book. Beatrix wants a small book. Why? Little children have little hands.
