ハロウィンの仮装は英語で？アプリの調査で当日の予定は10代が7年ぶり1位

On a calendar app in Japan, teens have the most plans for Halloween day. This is the first time in seven years. Halloween, October 31, is on a Saturday this year.

日本のカレンダーアプリで、ハロウィン当日の予定がいちばん多いのは10代です。これは7年ぶりのことです。今年のハロウィン（10月31日）は土曜日です。

The app is called TimeTree. The company behind the app has a research team. The team looked at plans with the word Halloween in the title. The team gave the results as a number for every 10,000 plans. For October 31, teens had 290.7 Halloween plans. People in their 30s had 242.8.

そのアプリは TimeTree（タイムツリー）といいます。アプリを作った会社には、研究チームがあります。チームは、題名に「ハロウィン」という言葉が入った予定を調べました。チームは結果を、予定1万件あたりの数で出しました。10月31日のハロウィンの予定は、10代が290.7件でした。30代は242.8件でした。

But people in their 30s had more Halloween plans on Friday, October 30, than on Halloween day. The team thinks school and nursery school events moved to that weekday. For the whole month, people in their 30s still had the most Halloween plans.

でも30代は、ハロウィン当日より、前の日の10月30日（金曜日）のほうがハロウィンの予定が多かったのです。学校や保育園の行事が、その平日に移ったのだろうとチームは考えています。10月全体で見ると、ハロウィンの予定がいちばん多いのは、やはり30代でした。

Teens also made more plans with the word kaso. Kaso means dressing up in a costume. Their kaso plans were about 1.2 times last year's number. Half of them were for October 30 or 31.

10代は「仮装」という言葉の入った予定も増えました。仮装とは、衣装を着て別のだれかになりきることです。10代の仮装の予定は、去年の約1.2倍でした。そのうち半分は、10月30日か31日の予定でした。

On a calendar app in Japan, teen users have more Halloween plans for October 31 than any other age group this year. It is the first time since 2019 that teens have topped the list. This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday for the first time since 2020.

日本のカレンダーアプリで、今年10月31日のハロウィンの予定は、10代の利用者がどの年代よりも多くなっています。10代が1位になるのは2019年以来です。今年のハロウィンは、2020年以来の土曜日です。

The data comes from TimeTree, a calendar sharing app, and was released by the company's research institute on October 27. The institute studied plans with the word Halloween in the title and gave each result as a number per 10,000 plans. For October 31, teens had 290.7 such plans, while people in their 30s had 242.8. This year's counting method differs from the institute's 2024 and 2025 surveys, so those numbers cannot be compared directly.

このデータは、カレンダーを共有するアプリ TimeTree のもので、会社の研究所が10月27日に発表しました。研究所は、題名に「ハロウィン」という言葉が入った予定を調べ、結果を予定1万件あたりの数で示しました。10月31日の予定では、10代が290.7件、30代は242.8件でした。今年の数え方は、研究所の2024年と2025年の調査とはちがうため、その数字とはそのままくらべられません。

The institute said the day of the week likely played a part in this result. Among people in their 30s, Halloween plans were higher on Friday, October 30, at 339.8, than on Halloween itself. From 2023 to 2025, around one in 10 of their Halloween day plans included words such as nursery school or kindergarten. The institute believes events at nursery schools and schools moved to Friday this year because it is a weekday.

研究所は、曜日がこの結果に関係しているようだと述べました。30代のハロウィンの予定は、前日の10月30日（金曜日）が339.8件で、ハロウィン当日より多くなっています。2023年から2025年には、30代のハロウィン当日の予定の約10件に1件に、「保育園」や「幼稚園」などの言葉が入っていました。研究所は、今年は保育園や学校の行事が、平日の金曜日に早まったと見ています。

Over the whole month, however, people in their 30s still had the most Halloween plans, at 45.0. People in their 40s were second with 33.8. Teens came third with 31.8. Even so, the figure for teens has grown for three years in a row. It rose by about 24 percent from last year.

ただし10月全体では、ハロウィンの予定がいちばん多いのは、やはり30代で45.0件でした。2位は40代で33.8件でした。10代は31.8件で3位でした。それでも、10代の数字は3年続けて増えています。去年からは約24％増えました。

Teens also made more plans with the word kaso, which means dressing up in a costume. Their October kaso plans reached 2.2 per 10,000, about 1.2 times last year's figure. Teens were level with people in their 30s, who had 2.1. Half of the teen kaso plans were for October 30 or 31. The institute guessed that teens are dressing up at places that welcome costumes, such as a cosplay festival in Ikebukuro and Tokyo Disney Resort.
