A tadpole lives in water like a fish. It swims with its tail. It eats and eats. It gets bigger and bigger.
おたまじゃくしは、魚のように水の中で暮らします。しっぽを使って泳ぎます。どんどん食べて、どんどん大きくなります。
One day, two little legs come out. They are the back legs. Then two front legs come out, too.
ある日、小さな足が2本、にょきっと出てきます。後ろ足です。それから、前足も2本出てきます。

これで、水から出られるようになりました。ジャンプもできます。陸の上で暮らせます。カエルになったのです！ ケロケロ！
