Ben has a red bike. He loves his bike.
ベンは赤い自転車を持っていました。自分の自転車が大好きでした。
On Saturday, Ben rides his bike to the park. He rides to the beach. He rides to the shop. He rides up the hill and down the hill.
土曜日、ベンは自転車で公園へ行きました。浜辺へも、お店へも行きました。坂をのぼって、坂をくだりました。
At night, Ben comes home. He puts the bike by the wall. Then, crash! The bike falls down.
夜になって、ベンは家に帰ってきました。自転車を壁に立てかけました。すると、ガシャン！ 自転車がたおれてしまいました。
"Dad, why did my bike fall down?" Ben asks.
「お父さん、どうしてぼくの自転車はたおれたの？」とベンはききました。
Dad smiles. "Because it is two tired."
お父さんはにっこりしました。「つかれすぎたからさ」
Ben laughs. "Me too, Dad. I am too tired, too!"
ベンは笑いました。「ぼくもだよ、お父さん。ぼくもつかれすぎちゃった！」
A bike has two tires. "Two-tired" sounds like "too tired." So the bike is two-tired and too tired!
自転車にはタイヤ（tire）が2つあります。two-tired（タイヤが2つの）は、too tired（つかれすぎ）と同じように聞こえます。だから自転車は「タイヤが2つ」で、しかも「つかれすぎ」なのです！
