ラーメンシミュレーターが約1週間で10万本　仲間とラーメン屋を経営するゲーム

A video game about running a ramen shop has sold more than 100,000 copies in about a week. The game is called Japanese Ramen Simulator. An early version came out on Oct. 9 on Steam, an online game store for computers.

ラーメン屋を経営するゲームが、約1週間で10万本以上売れました。ゲームの名前は「Japanese Ramen Simulator（ジャパニーズ・ラーメン・シミュレーター）」です。10月9日に、パソコン用のゲームのネットのお店「Steam」で、早めの版が出ました。

In the game, players make soup, boil noodles and add toppings. They make bowls of ramen that match what customers order. The game's store page says up to six players can work together online. People can also play alone and hire part-time workers in the game.

ゲームでは、スープを作り、麺をゆで、トッピングをのせます。お客さんの注文に合わせて、ラーメンを作ります。ゲームのお店のページには、ネットで最大6人がいっしょに働けると書いてあります。1人で遊んで、ゲームの中でアルバイトをやとうこともできます。

The game was made by a company called Wild Dog. The company shared the sales news on Oct. 16. The game usually costs 1,900 yen.

このゲームは「ワイルドドッグ」という会社が作りました。会社は10月16日に、売れた本数のニュースを発表しました。ゲームのふだんの値段は1,900円です。

Wild Dog plans to add more to the game. Karaage, or Japanese fried chicken, is one of the first new items. Later, Wild Dog plans to add street stall ramen.

Early access means people can buy and play a game while it is still being developed. In Japanese Ramen Simulator, players prepare soup, boil noodles and put toppings on the noodles to make bowls that match each customer's order. According to the game's Steam page, groups of up to six players can split the work online, while solo players can hire part-time staff controlled by the computer.

早期アクセスとは、まだ開発中のゲームを買って遊べるしくみのことです。このゲームでは、スープを仕込み、麺をゆで、トッピングを盛りつけて、お客さん一人一人の注文に合った一杯を作ります。Steamのゲームのページによると、最大6人のグループがネットで仕事を分けあえるほか、1人で遊ぶ人はコンピューターが動かすアルバイトをやとうこともできます。

The regular price is 1,900 yen, including tax. To mark the launch, it is being sold for a limited time at 1,615 yen, which is 15 percent off.

Wild Dog also shared its plans for future updates. In the short term, it plans to add karaage, a style of Japanese fried chicken, as a new menu item. A meal ticket machine, a self-service water server and a tool for designing the part-timers' characters are also on the list. Fried rice and new part-timer roles, such as gyoza staff, are planned after that. In the long run, the company plans to add new kinds of ramen, street stall ramen and a feature for making noodles.

ワイルドドッグは、これからのアップデートの予定も発表しました。近いうちに、新しいメニューとして唐揚げを加える予定です。食券機、セルフサービスの水のサーバー、アルバイトのキャラクターを自分で作る機能も予定に入っています。その後には、チャーハンや、ギョーザ係などの新しいアルバイトが予定されています。さらに先には、新しい種類のラーメン、屋台のラーメン、麺を作る機能を加える予定です。
