モンハンアウトランダーズとは？スマホで最大4人で狩る新作が配信開始

A new Monster Hunter game for smartphones came out on October 29. It is called Monster Hunter Outlanders. It works on iPhones and Android phones.

スマホで遊ぶ「モンスターハンター」の新しいゲームが、10月29日に出ました。名前は「モンスターハンターアウトランダーズ」です。iPhone と Android のスマホで遊べます。

The game was made by TiMi Studio Group. Capcom supervised the work. In this game, your main character is not called a hunter. You play as an adventurer on an island.

このゲームを作ったのは TiMi Studio Group という会社です。カプコンは、その作り方をチェックしました（監修）。このゲームでは、主人公は「ハンター」とは呼ばれません。島にいる「冒険者」になって遊びます。

Up to four players can make a team online and hunt monsters together. There are seven kinds of weapons, such as a hammer and a bow. Players can also ride zip lines and fly through the air with gliders.

オンラインで最大4人がチームを組んで、いっしょにモンスターを狩ることができます。武器は、ハンマーや弓など7種類あります。ジップラインに乗ったり、グライダーで空を飛んだりもできます。

There are two ways to control the game. A game news site said that one way uses only three buttons. They are for attacking, dodging, and a special move. The game is free to start, but players can pay for items.

ゲームの操作のしかたは2つあります。ゲームのニュースサイトによると、そのうちの1つはボタンを3つしか使いません。攻撃と、よけるのと、必殺技のボタンです。ゲームは無料で始められますが、アイテムにお金をはらうこともできます。

In this game, the player is not called a hunter. Instead, the main character is an adventurer whose appearance can be changed. The adventures take place on an island, where players track a new kind of monster. An elder dragon created only for this game also appears.

このゲームでは、プレイヤーは「ハンター」とは呼ばれません。その代わりに、主人公は見た目を変えられる「冒険者」です。冒険の舞台は島で、プレイヤーはそこで新しい種類のモンスターの足どりを追います。このゲームのためだけに作られた古龍も登場します。

Players can form online parties of up to four people. Seven weapon types are available at launch. They are the great sword, long sword, dual blades, hammer, lance, bow and heavy bowgun. More weapon types are planned for future updates.

プレイヤーはオンラインで、最大4人のパーティを組むことができます。配信の時点で、武器は7種類あります。大剣、太刀、双剣、ハンマー、ランス、弓、ヘビィボウガンです。今後のアップデートで、武器の種類はさらに増える予定です。

The game also adds crafting to exploration. Zip lines set up at certain spots let players move quickly. Gliders let them glide through the air. Other crafted items include lookout points for checking the map and cannons that make monsters flinch.

このゲームでは、探検にクラフト（ものづくり）の要素も加わっています。決まった場所に作られたジップラインを使うと、すばやく移動できます。グライダーで空を滑るように飛ぶこともできます。ほかにも、地図を確かめる展望台や、モンスターをひるませる砲台などを作れます。

Outlanders has two control modes. GAME Watch reported that the game is designed to be easy to play for both series fans and first-time players. In a hands-on report, the game news site 4Gamer described a starter mode with three buttons for attacking, dodging and a special move. The other mode has six buttons, and players can switch between the two during a hunt. The game is free to play, and it makes money by selling items inside the app.

アウトランダーズには、2つの操作モードがあります。GAME Watch は、このゲームはシリーズのファンにも初めての人にも遊びやすく作られていると伝えました。ゲームニュースサイトの 4Gamer はプレイレポートで、攻撃・回避・必殺技の3つのボタンを使う初心者向けのモードを紹介しました。もう1つのモードはボタンが6つで、狩りの途中で2つのモードを切りかえられます。ゲームは基本無料で遊べ、アプリの中でアイテムを売ることで収入を得ています。
