Summer McIntosh of Canada set three world records in five days at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Victoria, British Columbia, in June 2025. The 18-year-old from Toronto broke records in the 400-meter freestyle, the 200-meter individual medley and the 400-meter individual medley.

The first record came on June 7 in the 400-meter freestyle. The race took place at the Commonwealth Place pool in Victoria. McIntosh touched the wall in 3 minutes and 54.18 seconds. That was 1.20 seconds faster than the mark set by Australia's Ariarne Titmus in 2023.

McIntosh beat the old time by 0.42 seconds.

On June 11, McIntosh lowered her own world record in the 400-meter individual medley to 4:23.65. Her old mark of 4:24.38 had been set at the Canadian Olympic trials in Toronto in May 2024. At the same meet, she also set Canadian records in the 800-meter freestyle and the 200-meter butterfly. Her 800-meter freestyle time was 8 minutes and 5.07 seconds.
