A video app called Setlog is a big hit with teenagers in Japan. The app comes from South Korea.

Friends make a small group in the app. Every hour, each member records a video of about two seconds. At the end of the day, the app puts all the clips together. This makes a short vlog, or video diary, of the group's day.

In July, a company that runs a discount app for students asked 479 students about Setlog. More than 70 percent said they use it now. Most of them started after a friend invited them.

Japan is now the app's biggest market. Japanese users open it about 15 times a day, a research company said. But about half of the students in the July survey think the trend will not last long.
