The Osaka-Kansai Expo closed on October 13, 2025, after 184 days. More than 25 million people visited the event. Its symbol was a giant wooden ring. The ring is about two kilometers around.

Japan and 158 countries and regions took part. Many of them showed their culture and technology in their own buildings. In the last weeks, the Expo often had more than 200,000 visitors a day.

Guinness World Records named the ring the world's largest wooden structure of its kind. Most of the ring will be taken apart and used again. About 200 meters of it will stay where it is.

At the closing ceremony, the Expo flag was passed to Saudi Arabia. The next World Expo will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2030.
