Mo＋November：くっつけ単語で自分の「〇〇月」を作ろう
🎯 2つの語をくっつけた単語（かばん語）のしくみを知り、自分で考えたキャンペーン月の名前を英語で説明する。
- Movember が mo（口ひげ）＋ November だと確認し、brunch（breakfast＋lunch）や smog（smoke＋fog）など身近なくっつけ単語の元の2語を当てるクイズをする。
- ペアで「〇〇のための月」を考え、月の名前と何かの語をくっつけた新しい名前を作る。
- This month is called ___. It's ___ plus ___. In this month, we ___. の型で発表し、クラスで一番参加したい「月」に投票する。

英語ページの音声で本文の第1・第2段落を聞かせる。2003年にメルボルンのバーで2人の友だちが口ひげを復活させようと考えたこと、オーストラリアでは口ひげを mo と呼ぶことを確認し、Movember が mo＋November だと板書する。

くっつけ単語クイズのカードを見せ、brunch・smog・motel の元の2語をペアで当てさせる。答えを確かめたあと、どの語も前の語の頭と後ろの語のおしりをつないでいることに気づかせる。
🗣️ Look at this word. Brunch. What two words are in it? / Breakfast plus lunch. Good! / How about smog? / We take the start of one word and the end of another word.
ペアで「〇〇のための月」を考えさせ、月の名前と別の語をくっつけた新しい名前を作らせる。先生の例（Smile ＋ May → Smay：みんなに笑顔であいさつする月）を示してから、ワークシートの型に書き入れさせる。

何組かに型を使って発表させる。聞いている生徒は、一番参加したい「月」に手をあげて投票する。最後に、Movember はおもしろい名前とひげで男性の健康の話を始めるきっかけを作っていることを伝えて終える。

ひげ運動比べ：Movember と No-Shave November
🎯 似た2つの運動のちがいを英文から読み取って表にまとめ、比較の表現で説明する。
- Movember と No-Shave November の説明カード（始まった年・場所・ルール・お金の使い道）を、ペアの片方ずつに配って読む。
- ペアで情報を交換し、2つの運動のちがいを表にまとめる。
- Both ... で共通点を1つ、Movember ..., while No-Shave November ... の形でちがいを3つ英語で書く。
- 自分の学校で男性の健康を考えるなら、どちらの方法がよいかを理由とともに話し合う。

「11月にひげをのばす運動を知っているか」と問い、英語ページの音声で本文第3段落（ルールの部分）を聞かせる。11月1日にひげをそること、口ひげだけで、あごひげはだめなことを確認する。アメリカにはあごひげもOKの似た運動があると伝え、違いを調べる課題を示す。

ペアの片方に説明カードA、もう片方にカードBを配り、黙読させる。自分のカードから Year / Place / Rule / Money の4点を探し、比較表の自分の列に書き入れさせる。

ペアで英語で質問し合い、相手の列を埋めさせる。質問の型（When did it start? / Where did it start? / What is the rule? / Where does the money go?）を板書しておく。終わったら全体で答えを確かめ、Movember は2003年メルボルン・口ひげだけ、No-Shave November は2009年シカゴ・あごひげもOKであることを確認する。

表を見ながら、2つの運動のちがいを3文、共通点を1文、英語で書かせる。Both ... / Movember ..., while No-Shave November ... の型を示す。数人に読み上げさせ、ほかの生徒は内容が表と合っているかを確かめる。
🗣️ Both campaigns are in November. / Movember started in Australia, while No-Shave November started in the US. / Write one sentence with both and three sentences with while. / Who wants to read first?
「自分の学校で男性の健康を考えるキャンペーンをするなら、どちらの方法がよいか」をグループで話し合わせ、理由を1つずつ発表させる。ひげがのびない人のための Move（60km）など、Movember には別の参加方法もあることにふれて終える。
