なぜこの日？2001年9月11日、ハイジャックされた旅客機がニューヨークの世界貿易センタービルや国防総省に突っ込み、約3000人が犠牲になった。アメリカでは「愛国者の日」として毎年追悼の式典が開かれる。

On September 11, 2001, hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon, killing nearly 3,000 people. Americans remember the victims every year on Patriot Day.
