ゴジラ-0.0、ハリウッドで観客が総立ち　神木隆之介さんと浜辺美波さんが英語であいさつ

The new Godzilla movie had a big premiere in Los Angeles on October 28. The movie is called Godzilla Minus Zero. Actors Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe went there with director Takashi Yamazaki.

新しいゴジラの映画が、10月28日にロサンゼルスで大きなプレミア上映会を開きました。映画の名前は『ゴジラ-0.0（マイナスゼロ）』です。俳優の神木隆之介さんと浜辺美波さんが、山崎貴監督といっしょに行きました。

The event took place at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. This famous movie theater opened in 1927. Hollywood Boulevard was closed for the red carpet.

会場は、ハリウッドにあるTCL・チャイニーズ・シアターでした。この有名な映画館は、1927年にできました。レッドカーペットのために、ハリウッド大通りが通行止めになりました。

Kamiki and Hamabe spoke to the fans partly in English. After the movie, the audience gave the team a standing ovation. Kamiki said acting in a Godzilla movie changed his life.

神木さんと浜辺さんは、英語もまじえてファンに話しかけました。映画のあと、観客は立ち上がって、チームに大きな拍手を送りました。神木さんは、ゴジラの映画に出たことで人生が変わったと話しました。

The story is set in Japan in 1949, two years after the events of the previous film. The movie's trailer also shows Godzilla in New York. The previous film, Godzilla Minus One, won an Academy Award for its visual effects. The new movie opens in Japan on November 3 and in North America on November 6.

物語の舞台は1949年の日本で、前の映画の出来事から2年後です。予告編には、ニューヨークにいるゴジラも出てきます。前の映画『ゴジラ-1.0』は、映像の特殊効果でアカデミー賞をとりました。新しい映画は、日本で11月3日、北アメリカで11月6日に公開されます。

Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, held its Los Angeles premiere on October 28. The screening took place at the TCL Chinese Theatre, a Hollywood landmark that opened in 1927. When the film ended, the audience rose for a standing ovation.

アカデミー賞をとった『ゴジラ-1.0』の続編『ゴジラ-0.0』が、10月28日にロサンゼルスでプレミア上映会を開きました。上映は、1927年にできたハリウッドの名所、TCL・チャイニーズ・シアターで行われました。映画が終わると、観客は立ち上がって大きな拍手を送りました。

Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe, who return as the main characters, attended with director Takashi Yamazaki. Four staff members also joined them: two visual effects artists from the studio Shirogumi and two sound experts. Hollywood Boulevard was closed for the red carpet, where a Godzilla statue about two meters tall stood. Kamiki wore a suit, while Hamabe wore a furisode, a long-sleeved kimono.

前作に続いて主人公たちを演じる神木隆之介さんと浜辺美波さんが、山崎貴監督とともに出席しました。スタッフ4人もいっしょで、視覚効果の会社「白組」の2人と、音の専門家2人でした。レッドカーペットのためにハリウッド大通りが通行止めになり、そこには高さ約2メートルのゴジラ像が立っていました。神木さんはスーツ、浜辺さんは袖の長い着物である振袖を着ていました。

Before the screening, the two actors greeted the crowd partly in English. Afterward, Kamiki described being cast in a Godzilla film as a life-changing event. Hamabe said she was happy to see how the audience reacted to the film on the big screen. Yamazaki said the crowd's energy made him want to come back.

上映の前に、2人の俳優は英語もまじえて観客にあいさつしました。上映のあと、神木さんはゴジラの映画に出演できたことを、人生が変わるほどの出来事だと話しました。浜辺さんは、大きなスクリーンを見た観客の反応がうれしかったと話しました。山崎監督は、観客の熱気を受けて、また戻ってきたくなったと話しました。

The story is set in 1949, two years after the events of Godzilla Minus One. Yamazaki again wrote the script and supervised the visual effects. A trailer shows Godzilla reaching New York. Godzilla Minus Zero is the first Japanese film to be certified as Filmed For IMAX, a standard for movies made for giant IMAX screens.
