Hanshin Tigers slugger Teruaki Sato has won the Triple Crown, finishing the regular season first in the Central League in batting average, home runs and runs batted in. His titles became official on October 8, as the Central League finished its regular season. It is the first Triple Crown in Japanese professional baseball in four years.
阪神タイガースの強打者、佐藤輝明選手が、レギュラーシーズンを打率・ホームラン・打点のすべてセ・リーグ1位で終え、三冠王になりました。セ・リーグのレギュラーシーズンが終わった10月8日に、タイトルが正式に決まりました。日本のプロ野球で三冠王が出たのは4年ぶりです。
According to official league statistics, Sato batted .306 in 143 games. He hit 39 home runs and drove in 106 runs, the most in the league in both categories. His teammate Shota Morishita came second in home runs with 35, while no other qualified player reached 90 runs batted in.
