🗣️ Look at this school lunch. Which foods need bees? / Listen. Bees carry pollen from flower to flower. / This helps plants make fruit and seeds.
🗣️ Put the cards into two groups. / Bees help this group. The wind helps this group. / Apples, strawberries, almonds, and pumpkins need bees. / Rice and wheat use the wind.
Without bees, we cannot eat ___.
🗣️ Repeat after me. Without bees, we cannot eat apples. / Now say three sentences to your partner. / Partner, say "Oh no!" / Change roles.
About 75 percent of the world's food crops need this help, at least a little.
🗣️ Who can say one sentence? / About 75 percent of the world's food crops need this help. / Let's say it together: No bees, no food!

- This quote is probably not by Einstein because ...

🗣️ Look at this quote. Who said it? / Many people say it was Albert Einstein. / How sure are you? Fifty percent? One hundred percent? / Today, let's check the facts.
🗣️ Put the fact cards in order of time. / What is the oldest record with Einstein's name? / Yes. A French magazine in 1965. That was ten years after he died. / Did anyone find proof that he said it? No.
🗣️ Let's make two lists: facts and not proven. / Bees are important for our food. That is a fact. / Bees carry pollen. About 75 percent of the world's food crops need this help. / But we have no proof that Einstein said it.
This quote is probably not by Einstein because ...
🗣️ Now write a short news article. Use 60 to 80 words. / Start with: This quote is probably not by Einstein because ... / Give two facts as reasons. / End with one true fact about bees.
🗣️ Swap your article with your partner. / Check: Are there two facts? Are they correct? / Please read your headline. / When you see a famous quote online, check where it came from.
