「月」の意味
「月」には、夜空に見える「お月さま」と、1年を12に分けた「〜か月」の2つの意味があります。英語では空の月は moon、こよみの月は month とまったく別の単語になり、「月曜日」はさらに Monday になるので注意しましょう。

the moon定番

full moon / crescent moon定番

「月に〜回」。twice a month（月に2回）のように、a month を後ろにつけます。

使い分けのコツ
- 空に浮かぶ月なら moon、カレンダーの月や期間なら month と覚えましょう。
- this month / next month / last month の前には in をつけません。
- 1月〜12月の名前（January など）は、いつも大文字で書き始めます。
よくある間違い「今月」を in this month と言いがちですが、this month / next month / last month の前には in をつけずに使います。
