海の数字クイズ：70％・96.5％・50％
🎯 数字とパーセントの英語を使いながら、海の大切さを知る。
- 黒板に 70%, 96.5%, 50%, 30% を書き、何の数字か英語で予想させる。
- 答え合わせ（地球の表面、地球の水、酸素、二酸化炭素）をし、The ocean ... percent of ... の文で言う。
- グループで、いちばん驚いた数字と理由を英語で1文書いて発表する。

今日が世界海洋デー（6月8日）の話であることを伝え、黒板に 70%, 96.5%, 50%, 30% を書く。数字の読み方（seventy percent / ninety-six point five percent など）を全員で言ってから、どれも海に関係する数字だと伝え、何の数字かをペアで予想させる。
🗣️ June 8 is World Oceans Day. / Look at these numbers. Let's read them together. / All of them are about the ocean. / What do they mean? Guess with your partner.
絵カードを1枚ずつ見せて答え合わせをする。70％は地球の表面をおおう割合、96.5％は地球の水のうち海にある割合、50％は海で作られる酸素（少なくとも半分）、30％は人間が出す二酸化炭素を海が吸いこむ割合。1つごとに The ocean ... percent of ... . の文を板書し、全員でリピートさせる。英語ページ本文では水の割合が about 97 percent と丸めて書かれていることにもふれる。
🗣️ The ocean covers more than 70 percent of the Earth. / It holds about 96.5 percent of the water on Earth. / At least 50 percent of our oxygen comes from the ocean. / The ocean takes in about 30 percent of the carbon dioxide from people. / Repeat after me.
英語ページ本文の第1・第2段落を音声で聞かせ、数字が出てきたら手を挙げさせる。そのあとグループで、いちばん驚いた数字を1つ選び、The most surprising number is ___ because ___. の形で理由を英語で1文書かせる。理由が日本語でしか出ないグループには、先生が一緒に英語にする。
🗣️ Listen. Raise your hand when you hear a number. / Which number surprised you the most? / Write one sentence with "because." / For example, the most surprising number is 50 percent, because I didn't know the ocean makes oxygen.
各グループが書いた1文を発表する。どの数字がいちばん多く選ばれたかを数えて黒板に書く。最後にあいさつ Every second breath comes from the ocean.（2回に1回の呼吸は海から）を全員で言って終える。

海の日と世界海洋デー：ポスターで比較
🎯 2つの記念日の由来と目的をくらべ、英語のポスターにまとめる。
- 海の日（1876年の明治丸、1996年祝日化）と世界海洋デー（1992年の地球サミット、2008年の国連決議）の資料を読む。
- Who started it? / Why? / What do people do? の3点を表にまとめる。
- 海外の人に日本の海の日を紹介する英語ポスターを作り、ギャラリーウォークで読み合う。

「海の日は何月？」「6月8日は何の日？」と聞く。英語ページの会話のうち、ソウタとオリビアが海の日について話す部分を聞かせ、世界海洋デーと海の日は別の日であることに気づかせる。国土交通省によると、海の日を国の祝日にしている国は日本だけであることを紹介する。
🗣️ When is Marine Day in Japan? / What is June 8? It's World Oceans Day. / Listen to Sota and Olivia. Are they the same day? / Japan may be the only country with a national holiday for the sea.
資料プリントと英語ページ本文の第3・第4段落を読ませ、2つの日を3点で表にまとめさせる。Why? の欄では、海の日が明治丸の航海の記念であること、世界海洋デーは1987年の国連の委員会の報告で海の問題には「強い声」が足りないと指摘されていたことを手がかりにさせる。What do people do? の欄は、世界海洋デーは海岸のごみ拾いや学習会、海の日は会話の many people just go to the beach and swim を手がかりにさせる。
🗣️ Read the handouts and fill in the table. / Who started it? Why? What do people do? / In 1992, Canada asked for a special day for the ocean. / Marine Day comes from a trip on the ship Meiji Maru in 1876. / Use short phrases. You don't need full sentences.
グループで、海外の人に日本の海の日を紹介する英語ポスターを作らせる。入れる項目は、名前と日付・始まり（Who / When）・目的（Why）・過ごし方・世界海洋デーとのちがい1文の5つ。事実は資料プリントにあることだけを使い、数字や年は表と照らし合わせて確かめるよう指示する。
🗣️ Make a poster about Marine Day for people from other countries. / Write the name, the date, how it started, why, and what people do. / Add one sentence about World Oceans Day. / Check every year and number with your table.
ポスターを教室の壁にはり、ギャラリーウォークをする。各自付せんを3枚持ち、ほかのグループのポスターに英語でコメントか質問を1つずつはらせる（I learned that ... / Why ... ?）。グループの1人はポスターの前に残り、質問に答える役にする（途中で交代）。
🗣️ Put your poster on the wall. / Walk around and read the other posters. / Write a comment or a question on a sticky note. / One person in each group, stay and answer questions.
付せんを持ち帰って読み、いちばんうれしかったコメントを1つ発表させる。海の日（7月）と世界海洋デー（6月）を続けて、海について考えてみようと伝えて終える。
