What would you send to another country as a gift from Japan, and why?
日本からよその国へ贈り物をするなら、何を送りますか。理由も書きなさい。
書き方の例を見る（80語）
If I sent a gift from Japan to another country, I would send something that has to be cared for over many years. There are two reasons. First, a gift that needs attention creates a continuing relationship rather than a single moment. Cherry trees planted in Washington in 1912 are still tended, and people gather under them every spring. Second, a living gift changes with the place that receives it. For these reasons, I would send trees rather than objects.
日本からよその国へ贈り物をするなら、私は長い年月、世話が要るものを送りたい。理由は2つある。第一に、手をかける必要のある贈り物は、一度きりの瞬間ではなく、続く関係を作る。1912年にワシントンに植えられた桜はいまも手入れされ、春ごとに人が集まる。第二に、生きた贈り物は、受け取った土地とともに変わっていく。以上の理由から、私は品物より木を送りたい。
