Many people say they fell in love at first sight. Is this real? A research team in the Netherlands asked people about their feelings right after they first saw or met someone.
People who said "love at first sight" did not feel strong passion or closeness. Their feeling came mostly from the other person's looks. So love at first sight may be a very strong first impression instead of deep love.

Q2. What mostly caused the feeling of love at first sight?
Their feeling came mostly from the other person's looks.
Q3. In this passage, "first impression" means ...

Love at first sight is a popular idea in movies and comics, but it is hard to study because people usually describe it years later. A Dutch research team solved this problem by asking people about their feelings at the moment they first saw or met someone. They used an online survey, a lab experiment, and three dating events.
The researchers measured passion, intimacy, and commitment, which are often seen as parts of love. When people reported love at first sight, these feelings were not especially high. Instead, the best predictor was how physically attractive they found the other person. The team also suggested that couples who are happy together may later remember their first meeting as more magical than it really was.

Q1. Why is love at first sight usually hard to study?
it is hard to study because people usually describe it years later とあるので B。
Q2. Which statement is true according to the passage?
the best predictor was how physically attractive they found the other person とあるので C。
Q3. What can we infer about the stories of happy couples?
Most stories of love at first sight are told looking back, sometimes years after the couple first met. That makes the experience hard to study, and psychologists have mostly left it alone. A research team in the Netherlands tried to catch it closer to the moment. They gathered reports from an online survey, a laboratory study and three dating events, asking people how they felt as soon as they met a potential partner.
Alongside the question of whether they felt love at first sight, the researchers measured passion, intimacy and commitment, the three components often used to define love. People who said they had felt love at first sight did not score especially high on any of them.
The authors also suggested that couples may rewrite their memories later, so that an ordinary first meeting gets relabeled as love at first sight. They did not test that idea directly, and only a modest number of participants reported the experience at all. The strongest predictor of the feeling was physical attraction, which makes it sound more like an intense first impression than a special kind of love.
