Snow Man『AMENITY』5作連続の初週ミリオン　B'z以来、史上2組目の記録

Snow Man's new album has sold more than one million copies in its first week. The Japanese group released the album, AMENITY, on October 7. Oricon, a music chart company, said it sold about 1,014,000 copies.

Snow Man の新しいアルバムが、発売から1週間で100万枚以上売れました。日本のグループ Snow Man は、10月7日にアルバム『AMENITY』を出しました。音楽のランキングを出している会社のオリコンによると、売れたのは約101万4000枚です。

This is the group's fifth album in a row to do this. Only one other group has done the same thing in Oricon's history. That group is B'z, a famous rock band. B'z did it in 2000, more than 26 years ago.

An amenity is something that makes a place more comfortable. Hotels often give their guests amenities like soap and towels. The album has a hotel theme. The members play hotel staff who welcome listeners to a made-up hotel.

amenity（アメニティ）とは、場所をもっと快適にしてくれるもののことです。ホテルはよく、せっけんやタオルなどのアメニティをお客さんに用意しています。このアルバムのテーマはホテルです。メンバーはホテルのスタッフになって、聞く人を作り話のホテルに迎えます。

AMENITY is also the group's seventh album to reach number one on Oricon's weekly chart. Each of their seven albums has now sold more than one million copies in total.

『AMENITY』は、オリコンの週間ランキングで1位になった Snow Man の7作目のアルバムでもあります。これで、Snow Man の7作のアルバムは、どれも合わせて100万枚以上売れたことになります。

Snow Man's new album, AMENITY, has sold about 1,014,000 copies in its first week, making it the group's fifth album in a row to pass one million in that time. Oricon, which tracks music sales in Japan, released the weekly album ranking on October 13. The count covered sales from October 5 to 11, and the album officially went on sale on October 7.

Only one act had achieved five straight first-week million sellers before. The rock band B'z completed its run in 2000, with an album that appeared on the Oricon chart dated March 6 of that year. Snow Man reached the same mark about 26 years and seven months later.

アルバムが5作続けて初週100万枚を超えたのは、それまで1組しかいませんでした。ロックバンドの B'z です。B'z の記録は2000年で、その年の3月6日付のオリコンのランキングに入ったアルバムで達成しました。Snow Man は、それから約26年7か月たって同じ記録に並びました。

AMENITY also became the group's seventh straight number one album on the weekly chart. Every album Snow Man has released, starting with its first one in 2022, has now sold more than one million copies in total. Oricon said that seven in a row from an act's first album was a new record.

『AMENITY』は、週間ランキングで7作連続の1位となったアルバムにもなりました。2022年の最初のアルバムから数えて、Snow Man がこれまでに出したアルバムは、どれも合計で100万枚以上売れています。オリコンによると、最初のアルバムから7作続けて達成したのは、新しい記録です。

The album is built around a hotel theme. An amenity is something that makes a place more pleasant, such as the soap and towels that hotels provide for their guests. On the album, the members play hotel staff who guide listeners through a fictional hotel called HOTEL ALL SUITE.

このアルバムは、ホテルをテーマにして作られています。amenity（アメニティ）とは、場所をより快適にしてくれるもののことで、ホテルがお客さんのために用意するせっけんやタオルなどがその例です。アルバムでは、メンバーがホテルのスタッフになって、聞く人を「HOTEL ALL SUITE」という架空のホテルへ案内します。

The same weekly ranking also had news for a newer group. KO1KEYZ, which has just made its debut, took the top spot on the singles chart with its first single.

同じ週のランキングには、新しいグループの話題もありました。デビューしたばかりの KO1KEYZ が、最初のシングルでシングルランキングの1位になりました。
