💡 どんな意味・どんなときに使う？
While it is true that ~, ~ は「〜なのは確かだが、〜」と、譲歩と主張を一文で表す型です。前半で反対意見や一般的な事実を認め、後半で自分の主張を述べます。一文で論理の「ひねり」を示せるため、英検準1級や IELTS のエッセイで反論に触れるときにとても便利。While の代わりに Although を使っても同じ構造が作れます。
