💡 どんな意味・どんなときに使う？
out of the office は「（職場に）不在で」「外出中で」という意味です。休暇や出張で不在のときに自動返信メールで使われ、I am currently out of the office and will return on May 7.（現在不在で、5月7日に戻ります）という文面は定番。自動返信そのものを out-of-office reply、略して OOO と呼ぶこともあります。電話で担当者がいないときは She's out of the office today. や She's not at her desk right now.（今席を外しています）と使い分けると自然です。
