💡 どんな意味・どんなときに使う？
drop by は「（ついでに）ちょっと立ち寄る」という意味の句動詞です。約束をせずに、気軽に短時間訪ねるイメージがあります。drop by the store（お店に寄る）、drop by someone's house（誰かの家に寄る）のように場所を続けたり、Drop by anytime!（いつでも寄ってね）と単独で使ったりします。stop by や drop in（on 人）もほぼ同じ意味で、特に日常会話でよく使われます。TOEIC では Please drop by the front desk.（受付にお立ち寄りください）という案内の形も出ます。
