Good Habits Add Up for Teens
1Teenagers with more healthy habits felt better later, a study in Australia has found. Researchers at the University of the Sunshine Coast followed the same teens for up to five years. The teens were 12 to 17 years old.
2People often talk about sleep, food and exercise as the big three habits for a healthy mind. This study looked at two more things. One was feeling connected to other people. The other was mindfulness, or paying attention to what is happening now.
3Teens with more of these good habits often felt better at later checks. They also felt less stressed and worried. This was true even after the researchers took the teens' earlier mental health into account.
4The good habits often came together. Teens with one good habit were more likely to have others too. The study shows a link, but it does not prove that the habits made the teens feel better. It was published in the Journal of Adolescence.

One was feeling connected to other people.(1つは、ほかの人とつながっていると感じることだった)や paying attention to what is happening now(いま起きていることに注意を向けること)がその例。
