What Happens to Your Brain in Love?

1Love is linked to a reward system in the brain, a study found. The study was done by researchers in Australia. It was published in a science journal in November 2023.

2The researchers gave a survey to 1,556 young people who were in love. They were 18 to 25 years old and came from more than 30 countries. The questions asked about their feelings for their partner.

3Our brain has a reward system. It makes us want good things and work for them. In the survey, some people got very excited about their partner. These people often said their love was stronger.

4But a survey can only show a link. It cannot prove that one thing causes the other.

5People also said how much time they spent thinking about their partner. On average, it was about half of their waking hours. If you are awake for 16 hours a day, that is about eight hours.

文法ポイント:条件を表す if(もし~なら)

If you are awake for 16 hours a day, that is about eight hours.
