on the same page は「（考え・理解・情報が）一致している、共通認識を持っている」という意味です。みんなで同じ本を読むとき、全員が同じページを開いていないと話がかみ合いませんよね。そこから、チームや相手と前提がそろっている状態を表します。ビジネスでは Just to make sure we're on the same page, ...（念のため認識合わせですが…）という前置きが定番。友人や家族との会話でも「話が通じている」確認に使えます。反対に「かみ合っていない」は We're not on the same page. です。
