Free Museums on Culture Day
1Adults can see the permanent exhibits at three national museums in Tokyo for free on November 3. That day is Culture Day, a national holiday in Japan.
2At the National Museum of Nature and Science, you can see dinosaur skeletons. Adults usually pay 630 yen there. The National Museum of Western Art shows Western paintings and sculptures by Rodin.
3The Tokyo National Museum has about 120,000 items, including 90 National Treasures. But you still need a ticket for its special exhibitions on that day.
4There is good news for students. High school students and younger children don't have to wait for the holiday. They can see the permanent exhibits at all three museums for free on other days, too. They may need to show a student ID.

Japan's Constitution was announced on November 3, 1946.
