Two Members Leave Strawberry Prince

1Two members of the Japanese idol group Strawberry Prince have left the group. They announced the news on Oct. 18. The two are Nanamori, the group's leader, and Satomi. Their last day as members was the same day.

2Strawberry Prince is also called Sutopuri. The group started in 2016 and had six members. It celebrated its 10th anniversary in June this year. In 2023, it sang on Kohaku Uta Gassen, NHK's year-end music show.

3Nanamori said the decision was his own. Satomi said he wants to test his skills as a solo performer. He will keep streaming and posting videos as Satomi.

4At 8 p.m. that night, all six members appeared together in a live stream on YouTube. The other four members said they will continue as Strawberry Prince.

全文訳

1日本のアイドルグループ「すとぷり」のメンバー2人が、グループをやめました。2人は10月18日に、そのことを発表しました。2人は、リーダーのななもり。と、さとみです。メンバーとしての最後の日は、その同じ日でした。

2Strawberry Prince は「すとぷり」ともよばれます。グループは2016年に始まり、メンバーは6人でした。今年の6月に、10周年をむかえました。2023年には、NHKの年末の音楽番組「紅白歌合戦」で歌いました。

3ななもり。は、やめると決めたのは自分自身だと話しました。さとみは、1人の活動者として自分の力をためしたいと話しました。さとみは、これからも「さとみ」として配信や動画の投稿を続けます。

4その夜8時、メンバー6人全員がそろって、YouTubeの生配信に出ました。残りの4人は、これからもすとぷりとして活動を続けると話しました。

文法ポイント：keep + ～ing（～し続ける）

keep のあとに動詞の ing 形を置くと「～し続ける」の意味になる。本文の He will keep streaming and posting videos as Satomi. がその例。
