Sticker Albums Are Popular Again

1Sticker albums are popular again with teenage girls in Japan. Many girls had these albums in the Heisei era, from 1989 to 2019.

2The Japanese company Mynavi asked 610 girls aged 13 to 19 about trends in April. Sticker albums came first in the goods group with 44.9 percent. That is almost half of the girls.

3Puffy stickers and stickers with liquid inside are especially popular. Some of them are hard to get. Mynavi said the boom spread on social media. Popular influencers showed their albums there.

4The clothing company WEGO did another survey on Instagram in May. It said playing with things that you can touch, like sticker albums, was a big trend. Many fans also trade stickers with their friends. In September, a business magazine reported that 100-yen shops are selling more stickers.

文法ポイント:関係代名詞 that(目的格)

本文の things that you can touch は「(あなたが)さわることのできる物」という意味。この that は touch の目的語の役わりなので、省いて things you can touch とも言える。
