1Mrs. GREEN APPLE's new album, POPS, sold more than 630,000 CDs in its first week. The CD came out on September 30. The band has never sold so many CDs of an original album before.

2Billboard Japan announced its weekly album chart on October 7. POPS was number one in CD sales, downloads, and streaming. Oricon, another chart company, also put the album at number one.

3POPS is the band's sixth original album. Their last one came out in July 2023, about three years ago. It has 16 songs, and nine of them are new.

4Some of the songs came out before the album. The song "Brand New" is used as the Japanese theme song for the movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Another song is used as the opening song for the anime Frieren.

5A new song, "Kyohan," also did well. It was number one on a Billboard Japan chart of fast-rising songs. Songs from POPS took the top three spots on that chart.
