Talking Like ChatGPT Is a Trend
1Young people in Japan are copying the way ChatGPT talks. They call this style Chappy kobun. Chappy is a popular nickname for ChatGPT, and kobun means a sentence pattern.
2A research group asked 600 people aged 15 to 29 about trends in June. Chappy kobun came third in the buzzword group. The results were announced in July.
3ChatGPT often gives its answer first. Then it explains the main points one by one. Young people use this style when they talk with friends and post on social media. A common phrase is Ketsuron kara iu ne, which means I will give you the answer first.
4The nickname Chappy is not new. In November 2025, it was one of 30 words nominated for Japan's buzzword of the year award.

1日本の若者たちが、ChatGPTの話し方をまねしています。この言い方は「チャッピー構文」とよばれています。チャッピーはChatGPTの人気のあだ名で、構文は文の形という意味です。
2ある研究グループが6月、15歳から29歳の600人に、はやっているものについて聞きました。チャッピー構文は、流行語の部門で3位になりました。結果は7月に発表されました。
