1A mechanic in Italy has built the narrowest car that can be driven. The car is only 50.2 centimeters wide. That is narrower than a school desk.

2Guinness World Records shared the record in September 2026. The car is also in the new Guinness World Records 2027 book.

3The mechanic started with an old car from 1993. The car came to his family's scrapyard in 2024. He cut the middle out of the car and joined the two sides together. About 90 percent of the parts came from the old car.

4The new car has room for only one person. It runs on a small electric motor and a battery. Its top speed is 15 kilometers per hour. That is about as fast as a bicycle.

全文訳

1イタリアの整備士が、運転できる車の中で世界一細い車を作りました。その車の幅は、わずか50.2センチです。これは学校の机よりも細いのです。

2ギネス世界記録は、2026年9月にこの記録を紹介しました。この車は、新しい『ギネス世界記録2027』の本にものっています。

3整備士は、1993年に作られた古い車から作り始めました。その車は2024年に、彼の家族が営む廃車置き場にやってきました。彼は車の真ん中を切り取り、左右の部分をくっつけました。部品の約90パーセントは、元の古い車のものです。

文法ポイント：現在完了（完了）have / has + 過去分詞
