The Monkey Who Came Home
1A monkey escaped from a wildlife park in Scotland and then walked back home by himself. His name is Luka. He is a young Japanese macaque.
2Luka got out of the Highland Wildlife Park late at night on August 16. Later, people saw him in a nearby area. Park workers looked for him with a drone. The drone had a special camera that can find warm bodies.
3The next day, Luka came back to his home at the park. Nobody had to catch him. Animal doctors will check his health before he joins his group again.
4Japanese macaques are also called snow monkeys. In Japan, some of them bathe in hot springs in winter. The park in Scotland is in the mountains, so it gets snow, too.

全文訳
1スコットランドの野生動物公園からサルが逃げ出し、そのあと自分で歩いて帰ってきました。サルの名前はルカです。ルカは若いニホンザルです。
2ルカは8月16日の夜おそく、ハイランド野生動物公園から外に出てしまいました。その後、近くの地域で人々がルカを見かけました。公園の職員はドローンを使ってルカをさがしました。そのドローンには、あたたかい体を見つけられる特別なカメラがついていました。
3次の日、ルカは公園の自分の家に戻ってきました。だれも彼をつかまえる必要はありませんでした。ルカが群れに戻る前に、獣医さんが健康を調べる予定です。
4ニホンザルは「スノーモンキー」とも呼ばれます。日本では、冬に温泉に入るニホンザルもいます。スコットランドのこの公園は山の中にあるので、雪も降ります。
文法ポイント：再帰代名詞 by himself（自分で、ひとりで）
by + 〜self で「ひとりで、自分の力で」という意味になる。本文の walked back home by himself は「自分で歩いて帰った」。主語に合わせて by myself / by herself / by themselves などに変える。
