1Japan's women's soccer team won the AFC Women's Asian Cup on March 21, 2026. The team, called Nadeshiko Japan, beat Australia 1-0 in the final in Sydney.

2Maika Hamano scored the only goal in the 17th minute. She turned quickly and kicked a long shot into the corner of the goal.

3Australia was the host country, so many fans cheered for it. About 74,000 people came to the final. That was a record crowd for the tournament.

4This is Japan's third Asian Cup title. Japan also won in 2014 and 2018, and it beat Australia in both of those finals. In the semifinal this year, Japan beat South Korea 4-1. Riko Ueki was the top scorer with six goals. Next, Japan will play at the Women's World Cup in Brazil in 2027.

12026年3月21日、サッカー女子日本代表がAFC女子アジアカップで優勝しました。「なでしこジャパン」と呼ばれるこのチームは、シドニーで行われた決勝でオーストラリアに1対0で勝ちました。

217分に浜野まいか選手が、この試合ただ1つのゴールを決めました。浜野選手はすばやくターンして、遠くからシュートを打ち、ゴールのすみに決めました。

3オーストラリアは開催国だったので、たくさんのファンがオーストラリアを応援しました。決勝にはおよそ7万4000人が来ました。これはこの大会で最も多い観客数でした。

4日本がアジアカップで優勝するのは3回目です。日本は2014年と2018年にも優勝していて、どちらの決勝でもオーストラリアに勝ちました。今回の準決勝では、日本は韓国に4対1で勝ちました。植木理子選手は6ゴールで得点王になりました。日本は次に、2027年にブラジルで開かれる女子ワールドカップに出場します。

過去分詞が後ろから名詞を説明する。本文の The team, called Nadeshiko Japan, ... は「なでしこジャパンと呼ばれるそのチーム」。call A B（AをBと呼ぶ）の受け身の形。
