The Mystery Face of Dragon Man
1Scientists in China said in June 2025 that a famous old skull belonged to a Denisovan. Denisovans were a kind of human that lived long ago. Scientists knew about them from DNA, but they did not know what their faces looked like.
2The skull was found in Harbin, a city in northeast China. It is at least 146,000 years old. People call it Dragon Man.
3The team found very old proteins in the bone. They also found DNA in the hard dirt on its teeth. Both matched the Denisovans. The team shared the results in two science journals.
4Now we can finally imagine a Denisovan face. It was large, with thick bones above the eyes. The skull also shows that Denisovans lived in a very wide area, from Siberia to China.

全文訳
12025年6月、中国の科学者たちが、有名な古い頭骨はデニソワ人のものだったと発表しました。デニソワ人は、ずっと昔に生きていた人類の一種です。科学者はDNAから彼らのことを知っていましたが、どんな顔をしていたのかはわかりませんでした。
2その頭骨は、中国北東部の都市ハルビンで見つかりました。少なくとも14万6000年前のものです。人々はそれを「ドラゴンマン」と呼んでいます。
