💡 どんな意味・どんなときに使う？
On balance, ~ は「総合的に判断して」「差し引きすると」という表現です。balance（天秤）のイメージどおり、プラスとマイナスを比べたうえでの結論を示します。IELTS の「Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?」型の問題で、結論に On balance, the advantages outweigh ~ と書くと問いにぴったり答えられます。
