BE:FIRST「NOW U KNOW」MV

BE:FIRST Drops 'NOW U KNOW' as Fifth Anniversary Nears

1BE:FIRST released its new single NOW U KNOW digitally on November 2, along with a music video. The hip-hop track is the lead song on BE:4U, the group's fourth album, which goes on sale on November 3. That date marks five years since BE:FIRST made its major debut.

2The song was created at a songwriting camp in Los Angeles. SKY-HI, who produces the group, wrote it with David Arkwright, Grant Boutin, Will Jay and member MANATO. Billboard JAPAN described it as a hip-hop number that boldly states where the group is now and where it plans to go next. The music video tells a story of rising from the streets to stardom.

3BE:4U is the group's first original album in about two years, and it contains 13 songs. Members are credited on every newly recorded song as part of the team that made it. Two of the new songs, Diva and #Conbini, are sung by smaller units of three members each. The album also includes It's not a bad life, the theme song of the film RYUJI, in which member JUNON appears. That song came out ahead of the album on October 12, and the film opened in theaters on October 30.

4The release follows other big events for the group this year. In May, BE:FIRST held its first stadium concerts of its own, drawing about 100,000 people over two days. Its global EP WATCH ME, released in September, entered the Billboard 200, a US album chart. A dome tour to celebrate the fifth anniversary is planned for 2027.

アルバムには、メンバーのJUNONさんが出演している映画『RYUJI 竜二』の主題歌「It's not a bad life」も入っています。

SKY-HI, who produces the group（グループをプロデュースしているSKY-HI）や the film RYUJI, in which member JUNON appears（メンバーのJUNONが出演している映画『RYUJI』）がその例。
