The Word High School Girls Used Most
1A survey in Japan says the word high school girls used most this year was metsu. JK Lab, a group run by the company nowWnow, asked 94 high school girls about new words. It released the results on October 31.
2About 31 percent of the girls chose metsu. Dopagaki came second, with 16 percent. It was also the top answer for words the girls see on social media but do not use.
3People use metsu when their feelings are very strong. For example, suki sugite metsu means you like someone so much that the feeling is too strong. The phrase comes from the title of a song by the group MILK.
4About 28 percent of the girls also think metsu will win Japan's award for new words this year. The list of words for the award usually comes out in early November.

本文の you like someone so much that the feeling is too strong がその例(好きな気持ちがとても大きいので、強すぎる)。
