Aikatsu Stars Returns to Theaters for Its 10th Anniversary

1A new film based on the idol anime Aikatsu Stars will open in theaters across Japan on Jan. 22, 2027. The release date was announced on Oct. 17 at a fan meeting held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The film is titled Aikatsu Stars Hoshiboshi no Progress, and its main trailer was released the same day.

2The TV anime began airing in 2016, and the movie is being made as part of the series' 10th anniversary project. It is directed by Teruo Sato, with a script by Yuko Kakihara. Bandai Namco Pictures is distributing the film.

3In the story, Yume Nijino and her friends have only a short time left before graduation. They receive a request to appear at Venus Jamboree, a live event that brings together top idols from all over the world. The request comes from Elza of Neo Venus Ark. A mysterious cruise ship called Petit Venus Ark also appears, and each girl has to think about her dreams and her future while keeping up a busy schedule.

4Miyu Tomita plays the voice of Yume in the movie. Part of the main theme song, Five stars, was heard for the first time in the trailer. Three members of the idol group Not Equal Me were named as the film's promotion team.

5A second set of advance ticket cards will go on sale on Oct. 23 for 1,600 yen, including tax. Buyers will get a set of five postcards as a bonus, while supplies last.

1アイドルアニメ「アイカツスターズ！」の新しい映画が、2027年1月22日に全国の映画館で公開されます。公開日は10月17日、東京の池袋で開かれたファンミーティングで発表されました。映画の題名は『アイカツスターズ！～星々のProgress～』で、同じ日に本予告の動画も公開されました。

2テレビアニメは2016年に放送が始まり、この映画はシリーズ10周年のプロジェクトとして作られています。監督は佐藤照雄さん、脚本は柿原優子さんです。配給はバンダイナムコピクチャーズです。
