Boy Groups' Anniversary Song Tops Streaming Chart for a Fourth Week

1"Yes Tokyo," a song performed by 60 members of nine Japanese boy groups, has topped Oricon's weekly streaming chart for a fourth straight week. In the chart released on October 7, which covered September 28 to October 4, the song was played about 7.38 million times. It has now led the chart for nine weeks in total, and its cumulative count has reached about 131 million plays.

2The song marks the 15th anniversary of EBiDAN, a collective that the nine groups belong to. One of them is MILK, whose own songs have also been hits on the charts this year. The song was released online on July 2, and the CD single followed on August 11. The single sold more than one million copies in its first week, Oricon said.

3Billboard Japan, another chart company, uses its own count of streams. On October 6, it said the song had passed 100 million streams. It was the sixth song released in 2026 to reach that mark, after songs such as MILK's "Bakuretsu Aishiteru" and Arashi's "Five." The song has also stayed in the top 10 of Billboard Japan's streaming chart for 13 straight weeks.

4The music video, posted on July 2, passed 100 million views about three months later. In the video, the members appear as students at an imaginary school. Each of them has a special power, and they compete for a legendary fried shrimp sandwich.
