1The Nintendo game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has sold more than 8 million copies. Nintendo shared the news on August 6, 2026. The game came out on April 16, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch.

2In the game, players watch over people called Miis. The Miis live together on a small island in the sea. Many players make Miis that look like their friends or family. The Miis make friends and sometimes fall in love.

3This is the first new game in the series in 13 years. The last one came out for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. It sold 6.73 million copies. The new game is now the best-selling game in the series.

4By the end of June, about 2.55 million copies were sold in Japan. About 5.39 million copies were sold in other countries.

全文訳

1任天堂のゲーム「トモダチコレクション わくわく生活」の売上が800万本を超えました。任天堂は2026年8月6日にこのニュースを発表しました。このゲームは2026年4月16日にニンテンドースイッチ向けに発売されました。

2ゲームでは、プレーヤーが「Mii」とよばれる住人たちを見守ります。Miiたちは、海に浮かぶ小さな島でいっしょにくらしています。友だちや家族に似たMiiをつくるプレーヤーもたくさんいます。Miiたちは友だちをつくったり、ときには恋をしたりします。

3シリーズの新作は13年ぶりです。前の作品は2013年にニンテンドー3DS向けに発売されました。その作品の売上は673万本でした。新作は、シリーズでいちばん売れたゲームになりました。

46月末までに、日本では約255万本が売れました。ほかの国では約539万本が売れました。

文法ポイント：look like + 名詞（～に似ている）

look like のあとに名詞を置いて「～に似ている、～のように見える」を表す。本文の Miis that look like their friends or family は「友だちや家族に似たMii」という意味。
