A Lost Dog Comes Home
1A dog who went missing five years ago has returned to his family in the United States. The dog, named Chong, ran away from his home in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2021. His family looked for him for years.
2In July 2026, Chong was found outside a truck stop in Indiana. That is about 1,030 kilometers from his home. Nobody knows how he got there.
3Workers at an animal shelter checked Chong for a microchip. A microchip is a tiny chip under an animal's skin. It has a number that leads to the owner's information. Chong's chip was the only clue, and it led the workers back to Nebraska.
4A friend sent Chong's owner a post about him on social media. She called the shelter right away. Then she drove to Indiana and took Chong home. Chong's dog brother came on the trip, too.

全文訳
15年前にいなくなった犬が、アメリカで家族のもとに帰ってきました。チョンという名前のその犬は、2021年にネブラスカ州リンカーンの家から逃げ出しました。家族は何年も彼をさがしました。
22026年7月、チョンはインディアナ州のトラックの休憩所の外で見つかりました。そこは家から約1030キロも離れた場所です。どうやってそこまで行ったのかは、だれにもわかりません。
3動物保護施設の職員が、チョンにマイクロチップが入っているか調べました。マイクロチップとは、動物の皮ふの下に入れるとても小さなチップです。そこには、飼い主の情報につながる番号が入っています。チョンのチップがただ一つの手がかりで、それが職員たちをネブラスカへと導きました。
4友だちが、チョンについてのSNSの投稿を飼い主に送ってくれました。飼い主はすぐに保護施設に電話しました。そしてインディアナまで車で行き、チョンを家に連れて帰りました。チョンの兄弟の犬も、いっしょについて行きました。
