1An anteater escaped from Taipei Zoo in Taiwan and was found about a week later. Her name is Blackie. She is a lesser anteater and is more than 10 years old.

2Zookeepers found that Blackie was missing on the morning of May 19, 2026. Videos from the zoo's cameras gave them a clue. Blackie probably climbed a banana plant in her area. The plant broke, and she got onto a rock and went out.

3Zoo workers searched for her many times. They also used dogs, cameras, and traps. On the seventh day, a worker saw Blackie walking across a road inside the zoo.

4Blackie did not want to be caught. She scratched a worker's hand. Animal doctors said she needed more water but had no injuries.

全文訳

1台湾の台北市立動物園からアリクイが逃げ出し、約1週間後に見つかりました。アリクイの名前はヘイニウ（黒妞）です。コアリクイという種類で、年は10歳をこえています。

2飼育員は2026年5月19日の朝、ヘイニウがいなくなっていることに気づきました。動物園のカメラの映像が手がかりになりました。ヘイニウはおそらく、すみかにあったバナナの木に登ったのです。木が折れて、彼女は岩の上に移り、外へ出ていきました。

3動物園の職員は何度もさがしました。犬やカメラ、わなも使いました。7日目、職員の1人が、動物園の中の道をヘイニウが横切っているのを見つけました。

4ヘイニウはつかまりたくありませんでした。彼女は職員の手を引っかきました。獣医さんによると、体の水分が少し足りなかったものの、けがはありませんでした。

文法ポイント：知覚動詞 + 目的語 + ～ing（～しているのを見る）

see / watch / hear などのあとに「人・動物 + ～ing」を続けると、「…が～しているのを見る（聞く）」という意味になる。本文の a worker saw Blackie walking across a road がその例。
