Slop Is the Word of the Year
1Merriam-Webster has chosen slop as its Word of the Year for 2025. The American dictionary maker announced the word on December 15. Today, slop means poor content online, and AI usually makes it in large amounts.

1メリアム・ウェブスターが、2025年の「今年の単語」に slop を選びました。アメリカのこの辞書会社は、12月15日に発表しました。いまの slop は、ネット上の質の低いコンテンツのことで、たいていAIが大量に作ったものです。
2たとえば、変なにせものの動画や、AIが書いた安っぽい本などです。2025年には、多くの人がこうしたコンテンツを目にしました。そのため、たくさんの人が slop という言葉を調べました。
